Lavandula pedunculata 'Dedication' "Pukehou" ™
Flowers: Showy, large, ribbon-like bracts appear above lovely purple flowers
to give a superb display.
Growth: is compact and bushy with aromatic foliage. Suitable for most gardens,
Pukehou is ideally suited as a container plant
Interestingly, this
variety produces up to six bracts or 'ribbons' per head compared
to only two on most other cultivars of the species.
Prune lightly after flowering and it will encourage bushiness and new flower
growth for the next season.
Pukehou Pronounced (pook-ee-who) is a Maori name meaning
Hills of Dedication. This striking new Lavender introduction orginates from
New Zealand and the breeder Mrs. Mary Robertson, Pukehou Nursery in
Manakau, a small nursery on the North Island of New Zealand.
