Gaura lindheimeri "Old Faithful" ™ Flowers: Towering above all other Gauras, this is an exuberant, reliable geyser of refined foliage and abundant flowers. Its dynamic appearance is impossible to effectively photograph. It has a fountain of white, pink-budded flowers that continue through summer and late into Fall.
Mature Height: An upright, Gaura "Old Faithful" grows to 1.5m m (5-7').
Prune: A light prune to remove spent flower
stems in mid summer can extend flowering.
Gaura lindheimeri known by its common name ïBee BlossomÍ is from the Onagraceae family of plants. A native to North America, it can be found in Texas and Louisiana and as far south as the central regions of Mexico.
Gaura lindheimeri was scarcely known in normal
production nurseries and with the exception of the cultivar
Whirling Butterflies was scarcely seen. That began to change
in 1994 with the introduction of Gaura ïSiskiyou PinkÍ, an
introduction by Mr. Baldassare Mineo and his company Siskiyou
Rare Plant Nursery, Medford, Oregon, U.S.A. Now, he introduces
Gaura "Old
Faithful"™ to follow his extraordinary introduction,
Gaura ‘Siskiyou Pink’.
