Hydrangea involucrata "Yohraku" ™ The Masters Collection ™ Flowers: The flower buds are shaped like a ball but upon opening a very large inflorescence of complex double,multi-sepaled white tinged with pink flowers appear. As the inflorescence matures it will become large and the flowers will mature to pink and green. The inflorescence lasts for many months. Blooms on both the new growth from the old wood and 1st year growth.
Note: This plant is entirely covered in hairs or indumentum. Runners at ground level will often appear.
Blooming can begin in early July and last until
the first killing frost.
Mature height 200-300cm 6' to 10' x 6' to 8'
wide.
Plant in half shade to shade, avoid strong direct sunlight.
Pruning; remove anything dead, mis-shapen branches,and
the very oldest portion of the plant.
