Flowers: Double white. The new blooms appear on the new growth from the old wood.
Blooming time can begin from mid May to the
end of May.
Plant in half shade. Take care that the root system is not too dry going into
winter. For the aid of ripening of the last seasons growth,
like all serrata cultivars, Hydrangea serrata "Shirofuji"t.m.
can be planted in a situation where it is exposed to full
sun through end of September to end of October.
Mature height 50-100 cm (2' to 3' x 2 to 3'
wide at full maturity)
Pruning; remove anything dead, mis-shapen branches,and
the very oldest portion of the plant.
