Hydrangea serrata "Mikata Yae"™ The Masters Collection ™
Flowers are double blue star shaped. The flower color can be changed
by altering the pH of the soil. The new blooms appear on the
new growth from the old wood, and often a re-bloom in late
Summer to Fall.
Blooming time can begin from mid to the end of May.
Mature height 100cm x 100cm wide (3'x3'wide)
Plant in half shade. Take care that the root system is not too dry going into
winter. For the aid of ripening of the last seasons growth,
like all serrata cultivars, Hydrangea serrata "Mikata Yae" t.m.
can be planted in a situation where it is exposed to full
sun through the end of September to end of October.
Note: The 2004 American Nursery and Landscape Associations named it one of its

Pruning; remove anything dead,
mis-shapen branches,and the very oldest portion of the
plant.
