Hydrangea involucrata "Mihara Kokonoe" ™ The Masters Collection ™
Flowers: The flower buds are shaped like a ball but upon opening a very
large inflorescence of complex double, multi-sepaled flowers
appears. The sepals are white tinged with green. As the inflorescence
matures it will become large and the flowers will mature
to green. When in full bloom this cultivar will give you
an impression of complexity and leave you in a state of awe.
Interesting to note, this plant is entirely covered in hairs
or indumentum.
Mature height 150cm-250cm (5' to 10' and 5'
to 8' in wideth.
Blooming time is middle of July to early November
Plant in sun to half shade, avoid the afternoons strong sunlight.
Pruning; remove anything dead, mis-shapen branches,and
the very oldest portion of the plant.
