Flowers are a pink double macrophylla type. Flowering time can begin mid June to early July. Flower color can be changed by altering the ph of the soil. In Japan the cultivar is sold with both blue and pink flowers. The new blooms appear mid-summer on the new growth, from the old wood.
Plant in sun to half shade.
Mature height is 150cm to 250cm (5'to10' and 5'to8'wide)
Pruning; remove anything dead, mis-shapen branches,and the very oldest portion of the plant.
