Flowers are white and gradually turn to red, not matter what the ph of the soil. The red coloring does not spread over the entire florescence. The blooms appear on the new growth from old wood. Although a serrata the inflorescence is more like a macrophylla.
Blooming time can begin by the end of May and
onwards.
Mature height 100 cm by 120cm in width. (3'x4')
Planting in half shade, the cultivar does require some sunlight to turn red flowered.
Pruning suggestions: remove anything dead, mis-shapen branches,and
the very oldest portion of the plant.
