Cornus alba "Cream Cracker" ® Pat

While other Cornus cultivars by mid summer are looking as though Fall
had come prematurely, Cream Cracker offers disease resistance.
Flowers: Creamy white in late spring. Fruits
are white and small
Foliage: Leaves are green with cream to butter colored margins on the older growth.
New growth is green with golden yellow margins.
Description: The stems are purplish-red in the winter which is a nice addition
of color in the winter garden. At first appearance it appears to be
Cornus alba elegantissima and Cornus gouchaulti in the same
plant but it is
actually a genetic sport of Cornus gouchaulti.
Mature height: An upright deciduous hardy shrub
2-2.5m wide. (6')
Planting: This plant grows in most types of soil, either wet or dry and can be
planted in full sun or shady positions.
Pruning: It is recommended to prune hard in
March every other year, to promote compact growth
