Plants: This species, which has an elegant, double-flowered form, has a curious habit of starting out upright and mounding, then blossoming on horizontally spreading branches. There’s a nostalgic tinge to these lilac clusters of flowers. The cultivar, named after Jerry Cobb Colley’s hometown of Farmington, Kentucky, works in both gardens and containers, makes a lovely cut flower, and attracts birds and butterflies.
Blooming season: late summer through early fall
Mature Size: H 60 cm x W 45 cm
Care: Easy to grow in nearly any soil with a sunny location. Water regularly.
